29 May 08 | The Braidwood Polocrosse Carnival to be held this weekend, 31st May and 1st June 2008 at the Braidwood Showground.
29 May 08 | The Braidwood Servicemens Club Bears couldn’t match it with the Bungendore Tigers, going down 62-6 at Bungendore on Saturday. The Tigers led 28-6 at halftime and scored 12 tries to the luckless Bears 1. Bungendore put on a great day to celebrate 100 years of Rugby League with an under 18s match followed by a Golden Oldies game between the Tigers and West Belconnen before the Tigers and Bears clashed.
29 May 08 | On a day that promised to be another challenge, the Braidwood Redbacks travelled down to Batemans Bay to play against second Bay side, Bay Red.
With Coach, Organizer and Hooker Steve Northcott absent from Saturdays clash, Braidwood were without one of its most important cogs in a finely tuned machine...their water bottles. No one knew what happened to the mysterious refreshment givers but thanks to the generous people at the bay we were given 3!
27 May 08 | The district lost a local equestrian identity on 17th May when Ray Fulton from Majors Creek lost his battle with cancer at age 60. Ray had become well know in riding circles throughout Australia for his success in endurance riding, although only taking up an interest in horses later in life.
27 May 08 | Palerang residents have a couple of weeks to comment on several Council plans. The Draft Management Plan and Budget 2008/2009 is now on exhibition, and details the rates and annual charges Council proposes to levy as well as the fees and charges proposed for the services it provides to the community.
Public meetings for community consultation were conducted in Braidwood on 20 May and last night in Bungendore. The Plan will go before Council at the 26th June meeting.
23 May 08 | The sculpture program at BCS entered works into a competition run by the Sheetmetal Industry Association, which has a Sculpture Award for High School Students. From the 24 schools entered, 12 finalist were selected, and three of those were from BCS.
