18 HOUR CLOSURE ON THE KINGS HIGHWAY AT POOH CORNER
18 May 12 | The Kings Highway at Pooh Bear Corner, west of Nelligen will be closed to traffic on Wednesday 23 May from 6am until 12am midnight, weather permitting. This 18 hour closure is needed to safely remove a 1.5 metre high boulder from the mountain. This is the site where a landslip occurred on 20 April 2012.
Oallen Ford Road to close for repairs
18 May 12 | GOULBURN MULWAREE COUNCIL’S MEDIA RELEASE The Oallen Ford Road bridge over the Shoalhaven River will soon undergo urgent repairs, following an inspection earlier this week. The work will mean that the bridge will be closed while the work takes place.
16 May 12 | The Torsos and Art for Preschool Hearts Exhibition and Auction was held at The Albion Café on Friday night. 25 torsos, 6 beautiful pieces of jewellery, and an incredibly decorated cake by Kathryn Griggs, were all bid on, either by silent auction or under the hammer of local auctioneer Nick Harton.
16 May 12 | As Braidwood sees its fourth major cattle sale for Autumn, another colourful mob has been assembled at the Community Bank. As part of the Braidwood Heritage Festival, students were invited to take part in the Dairy Australia Picasso Cows competition where students were asked to decorate a blank miniature cow.
Aboriginal Flag-Raising Ceremony
16 May 12 | At 10am on Friday May 25th a ceremony will be held at the Palerang Council Bungendore office in Majara St to officially raise the Aboriginal flag.

Those that were there have gone away to start working on strategies for next year, those that could not make it this year are working out how they can catch up and the Lions Club members are just finishing their cooling down exercises.

25 Apr 12 | The Kings Highway at Pooh Bear Corner, west of Nelligen will reopen today after midday (Thursday 26th April)
Kings Highway cut
24 Apr 12 | The Kings Highway continues to be closed to traffic in both directions on the Clyde Mountain near ‘Pooh Bear’ corner, west of Nelligen after a landslide on Friday afternoon. Hundreds of tonnes of rock and debris fell across the road during the landslide.
POPLAR REPRIEVE
23 Apr 12 | The Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) has completed a preliminary investigations report into road safety on the Kings Highway near Braidwood. The report recommended wire rope safety barriers and profile line marking be installed through the historic avenues of poplar trees on either side of Braidwood, and a Tree Management Plan be developed by the community.
