Increased eye care for Braidwood patients

07 Jun, 2009 12:49 PM
In a rural setting like Braidwood metal fragments lodged in the eye are not uncommon. Dr David Sutherland emphasised how constantly the lamp has been used since its installation, saving many locals from delayed treatment and time consuming trips to Canberra. It is hoped that in the near future an additional feature will be added to this lamp that will assist even closer analysis and follow up of eye problems associated with diabetes, a growing disease in Australian society. The Advisory Committee wish to thank the MPS staff and our local doctors for the ever increasing range of medical services provided for our community.
