Minister for Rural Affairs, Tony Kelly has announced that 43 Community Halls from all over the state will soon commence refurbishment and renovation thanks to the Rees Government investment in this program.
"The 'Country Halls Renewal Fund' is a vital component of the Governments $85 million 'Building The Country' package and demonstrates this NSW Government's commitment to investing in a better future for small and remote rural towns.
Mr Kelly said "Community Halls are invariably the centrepiece of community life for the states country towns and villages and more often than not are run by volunteers. By investing in jobs and infrastructure we are investing in the future and the well being of our rural communities."
