Return of lamplight at St Stephens

Rectors Warden of St Stephens Brian McDonald said that following the switching on of electric lights in the church in 1959 the kero lamps have been stored away. Many people who have visited the church have often asked about the original lighting and it is hoped that the matching lamp can be restored and also hung. Mr Robert Aernout who kindly restored the lamp said the Miller Lamp dates late 1800's - early 1900's.
