With Palerang Council's draft management plan and budget 2006/2007 on public exhibition now, outlining Council's objectives for the next five years including the draft budget for 2006/2007, Council is holding a series of Public Meetings which commence tonight at the National Theatre in Braidwood at 7pm.

The Plan also includes details of the rates Council proposes to levy in 2006/2007 and the fees and charges proposed for the services it provides to the community.

Submissions can be made to Council during the period of public exhibition which concludes on Monday, 26 June 2006. Further Public Meetings are to be held at Bungendore on 14 June and Wamboin on 21 June 2006 commencing at 7pm for community consultation on the proposed 2006/07 Management Plan.

The Plan will be formally adopted by Council after consideration of submissions received, at a Council meeting to be held on Thursday, 29 June 2006.

Copies of the Draft Management Plan are available for inspection at Council's offices at 4 Majara Street, Bungendore and 144 Wallace Street, Braidwood during normal opening hours. The Plan can also be viewed on Council's website at www.palarang.nsw.gov.au.
