A program is now in place for the Official Openings and Exhibitions of the entries in the "100 Views of Mount Palerang" $2000 Acquisitive Award. This award will be presented through the generosity of Mayor Jim Maclachlan.
Over fifty entries in the competition have been received. The Official Opening by the Mayor of the entire exhibition will take place at The National Theatre, Braidwood, at 6pm on Friday, September 15. The short listed entries will be announced at the Official Opening to which everyone is invited to attend. The exhibition will then be on display at The National Theatre over the weekend of September 16 and 17 between 10 am and 4 pm.
The short list entries will then travel to Bungendore and this exhibition will be officially opened at 6pm on Friday, September 22 at the Bungendore School of Arts. The winner of the $2000 Acquisitive Award will be announced at the Bungendore opening and, once again, everyone is welcome to attend. The short list and the winning entry will be on view at the Bungendore School of Arts, Gibraltar Street, over the weekend of September 23 and 24.
