President Martin Pitt described the success of the Foundation which has distributed approximately $100,000 amongst 60 recipients over the seven years since formation.

Taryn Bevege reminisced about her journey which commenced 4 years ago culminating in fulfilment of her chosen career path in journalism. Taryn felt that she would not be where she is today without the support of the BDEF.

Leith Collard thanked the Foundation’s supporters on behalf of this years’ recipients, and her mother Libby Collard expressed her gratitude for the support from a parents perspective.

The Foundation is looking forward to another year of resounding success and wish all the award recipients the very best of wishes in their chosen fields.
