The Chamber of Commerce launched its' new promotional shopper bags at a dinner last Wednesday evening at the Club. The sky blue bags aim to raise awareness of the benefits of residents spending their dollars in the town. Designed by Tom Richardson, the bags herald Braidwood's heritage listing and the words "proud to shop locally" put the shopping message across.
1000 of the bags will be available from business members of the Chamber of commerce. Some businesses will be offering discounts to shoppers carrying the bags, combined with a 'behind the counter' advertising campaign highlighting the history of some businesses and people that work there. Kicking off this week is Len Mutton & Co., on page 6.
