Stud principal Jamie Ramm presented 94 excellent quality Poll Dorset flock rams at the Ramm Families Bobar Poll Dorset Stud's 27th Annual Sale on the 10th December 2009.
All the rams presented in very good working condition and all exhibited the length, type, quality and exceptional growth that we have come to expect at Bobar. The whole of the offering was very even from start to finish and this was backed up with a good average price.
Practically a total clearance was achieved with the 92 of the 94 18 month old rams selling to $1350 and averaging $764.
Neil Cummins "Mona Vale" Laggan purchased the other top priced ram at $1350, as well as four others for $1250; two at $1200 and one at $1100 The Cummins family are repeat buyers and have supported the Bobar sale for many years.
Volume buyers on the day were Carwoola Pastoral Co "Carwoola" Bungendore who purchased 30 rams for a top of $1150, and averaging $862
A good percentage of the buyers were repeat clients with a number of local Braidwood district prime lamb producers competing strongly with buyers from Bungendore, Crookwell, Laggan, Lake Bathurst, Tarago, Goulburn, Tharwa,Gunning,Chatsbury,Banniste r,Muttama,Yass,Barmedman,Cootamun dra and Gundaroo to secure their requirements.
