Braidwood Boys

26 Apr, 2009 02:54 PM
As well as an exhibition, there is a database of nearly 480 men (and 4 women) who enlisted from Braidwood during the war, or were working here. The database is searchable by name, or place of birth (Araluen, Majors Creek, etc.) It contains some photos of Braidwood Boys, such as Fred Archer, and some photos of their burial places in other lands. The database is also available on the following website http://members.pcug.org.au/~ppmay /braidwood_boys/.

The exhibition contains many items on loan from the Braidwood RSL, as well as other items on loan or donated by Braidwood families. Come along and learn a little about what Braidwood people experienced during 'the Great War', and the fate of some of those Braidwood Boys.
