Braidwood Multi Purpose Service the shining light

23 Dec, 2009 10:04 AM
The BMPS Advisory Committee wish to congratulate the MPS Manager Mrs Debbie Oxford-Willson and her dedicated staff on the report received as a result of the Australian Council of Health Care Standards (ACHS) assessment.

This assessment was conducted by health experts currently working within the hospital system from across Australia. Ms Gillian Clarke head surveyor ACHS, Ms Toni Bickley, Director of Nursing Glenelg Hospital South Australia and Dr George Szonyi, Head of Geriatric Medicine, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital undertook the accreditations survey on Wednesday 9th December. Their findings concluded that in all aspects of service our MPS is working at the highest standard and there were therefore no recommendations made. This is an amazing result and one our community and staff should be very proud of.

In his feedback Dr Szonyi highlighted the excellent clinical care provided at Braidwood MPS. This means that patients attending the BMPS receive the care required to ensure their wellbeing during their time there.

The advisory committee sees that the greatest strength of this vital health care facility lies in the leadership and strong team work that not only provides the commitment to our communities health needs but redesigns services to meet them.

We must all ensure that this wonderful facility with its fine history of health care is always an integral part of the fabric of our town and surroundings.

MPS Committee members; Jeremy Campbell Davys, Mary Mathias, Peter Camiller, Warren Barr, Margaret Jones, Anne Monkhouse, Kristen Sturgiss Tony Cairns, Joan Webb
