"Following the unprecedented interest in 'Braidwood' since the heritage listing in April of this year, our visitor numbers and inquiries through the Visitor Information Centre in the National Theatre in Wallace St, have sky-rocketed, and it was decided to produce a 2007 colour Calendar featuring the towns most significant buildings," said Cheryl Raper, the president of Braidwood and Villages Tourism.
The Calendar, which was launched at Tourism's meeting last Monday evening, was designed, and photographed by VIC volunteer Judit Kovacs. Judit is a passionate photographer and graphics designer who donated her time to produce this calendar (and a new range of postcards). Judit has exchanged teaching art, craft and Industrial Art with a very successful career in public service about 26 years ago. This, however, did not put an end to her love of painting, drawing and photography. Having moved to Braidwood, she returned to photography and graphics design.
The calendar which will retail for $25:00 will be available from the Visitor Information Centre, in the National Theatre, Wallace St. As this was a new venture for Tourism, only a limited number have been printed.
