A colourful field of crazy cars and crews sets out on Friday October 26 on the 10th Anniversary ‘Camp Quality Caper” Fun-Drive - and 5000 Australian kids with cancer will be the winners!
For the eager Caper crews the nine-day drive from Bendigo (Victoria) to Bathurst (NSW) via the Australian Alps is the fun climax to many months of fundraising effort.
Once again, Camp Quality will receive a great fund-raising boost from the Caper, which in nine years has raised almost $2.5 million.
On their 2800km journey they’ll visit 22 schools, parade through a dozen towns, enjoy three Fancy Dress nights - including a Medieval Dinner at Yass, and watch the whales go by at Eden and Merimbula.
After leaving Bendigo, the field passes through Seymour and Yea, Jamieson for lunch, and on to the first overnight at Sale.
Other overnight stops are at Merimbula, Yass, West Wyalong, Nyngan and Forbes, with lunch stops at Moruya, Cootamundra and Tullamore and the tiny village of Noorinbee, near Cann River, and the Vermont Hill Tennis Club, north-west of Condobolin.
