Cattle Sale Report

A good quality yarding of locally bred cattle were sold in Braidwood on Friday the 13th, for the Schute Bell, Jim Hindmarsh special store sale.

The market was solid in comparison with recent sales with the better lines selling to a dearer trend.

Weaner steers 8 to 10 months topped at $560 for a pen of Angus Hereford cross steers account J & M O’Connell with most lines selling from $500 to $520

Steers 6 to 8 months sold from $400 to $440.

The 8 to 10 month old heifers topped at $485 with most sales from $400 to $430

6 to 8 month old heifers sold from $300 to $350.

A very good quality run of 240 Angus and Angus cross heifers due to calve august a/c Tim Raynolds Company topped at $895

For the Angus heifers and $860 for the Angus Hereford cross heifers to average $800

Buyers came from Korumburra, Wodonga, Wagga, Bega, Moruya, Goulburn, Moss Vale, and Nowra with good local support

Schute bell would like to thank all the vendors that entrusted us with the sale of their cattle.
