Christmas wishes from Gary Nairn

19 Dec, 2001 08:04 AM
Federal Member for Eden-Monaro, Gary Nairn, has passed along his best wishes to the people of Eden-Monaro for this festive season.

“I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone in Eden-Monaro a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year,” said Mr Nairn.

“I am looking forward to spending time with my wife and two children in Queanbeyan, and I am sure many others will be travelling to spend time with their loved ones.

“If you are travelling over this holiday period please take caution on the roads. The Christmas-New Year period always poses extra danger to motorists, and with a little more caution, the toll can be reduced.

“While Christmas is a time for being with your family, it is also a time to think of those that might be less fortunate than yourself.

“We should also be thinking of those Australians who are serving overseas on military and peace keeping duties.

“I hope everyone is looking forward to the New Year, as I am looking forward to another year as your Federal Member of Parliament,” concluded Mr Nairn.
