Clipping for a cause

26 Mar, 2009 01:53 PM
The Elrington Hotel was buzzing with the sound of hair clippers. What started off as Nadine shaving her head prompted other patrons to join in the challenge and what a challenge it was.

“Hair clippers were running hot and it only came to an end when we ran out of willing men” said Hotel Manager Donna Blowes. “A great night had by all. Who said Majors Creek was a sleepy village?”

“Well done to all who were shaved and to those who donated for a good cause” she added.

The Leukaemia Foundation World’s Greatest Shave is one of Australia’s biggest fundraising events. 100,000 people across the country will shave or colour their hair in this year’s effort.
