Work undertaken for Mulwaree Shire

Cr Sturgiss asked if there was any information on the arrangement with Mulwaree Shire. The MW advised that he has not located a written arrangement, but that Mulwaree Shire Council has paid this Council every time a sundry debtor account was sent for work done.

With regard to the block grant for maintenance work on the Tarago Rd, Mulwaree Council does this work, paid for by Tallaganda Council.

Wyanbene trusses

Cr Brown asked about the Wyanbene bridge trusses. The MW replied that he had called the tenderers and asked them to expedite the process of purchase and removal.

Braidwood Showground

Cr Hart asked if there had been any costing done on the water main extension at the Showground. The GM advised that it was in the order of $100,000 and suggested that this be discussed at the next meeting.

Majors Creek Cemetery (lawnmower)

Cr Harrex asked if there had been any progress on this. The MW advised that there was an item in the Business Paper today. The Majors Creek Progress Association is happy to accept a small hand-mower, which will satisfy their need, and which will go into the care of a nominated person.

Overtaking lane at Warri

Cr Harrex drew attention to this being the second time that this section has been sprayed, and asked if two lots of funds were available. The MW replied that the RTA asked Council to redo some work, but did not provide additional funding. Council had s.94 funds available from other sources, and successful completion of the work would release the initial funds from the RTA.

Cr Brown further asked if the approximate overall cost was known, to which the MW replied that it was $70,000.
