Council celebrated Local Government Week 2 - 8 August 2010 with a creative postcard design competition for young budding artists.
The designs had to be A4 in size and have relevance to Palerang in some way. Lots of entries were received and Council was very impressed with the high standard of creative design in the three categories.
Prizes of book vouchers and framed certificates were awarded by the Mayor at last week's Council meeting. The winners were 5 - 8 years: Miah Gunderson, 9 - 12 years: Ben Howard, and 13 - 16 years: Josh Daniher.
Braidwood Central's year 5-6s also visited the Palerang Council meeting in Braidwood and witnessed a Citizenship Ceremony.
