Federal funding tops up pool panels

29 Oct, 2009 09:51 AM
Braidwood Memorial Swimming Pool will open this weekend for the summer with new and enlarged solar panels on a larger superstructure, which will provide more shade cover for patrons.

$50,000 for solar panel replacement from the Regional and Local Community Infrastructure Program funding has been topped up by $20,000 transferred from the Captains Flat Hall project when the scope of the works there was reduced and more funds were needed to replace the inadequate support structure for the solar panels at the pool.

Palerang pools will all be open from 12 noon to 7pm from 31 October to 14th March, with an extra hour from 11am over the school holidays from 19th December to 29th January. Pool Hire charges apply to bookings outside of those hours.

Season passes are available from Council offices.
