The President of Canberra Home Brewers Association, Colin Marshall has been invited to be the judge of the home brew section of the Braidwood Show. As a leading light in the home brew world in ACT and southern NSW, Colin will bring both expertise and a great deal of interest to the entries this year. Colin is publicising the Braidwood Show especially to his client list at BREW YOUR OWN AT HOME, Kambah Village.

Several Braidwood home brewers are preparing special recipes for the Show, knowing that there will be out of town competition. Entry details will be in the Show Schedule out in late January.

The Show will have the usual attractions, the many entries in the cakes, veggies and fruits, bread and baking, flowers, wool, art, quilting, needlework, woodwork, dolls and bears, school work, handcrafts, photography, pottery and so much more, all in the pavilion. The Zucchini family will be back with the latest in sideshows, all the fun of the fair! There will be the judging of cattle, alpacas, sheep, poultry, dogs and pets and impressive horse events in the ring. In the lunch break there will be the drive past of vintage cars, an exceedingly valuable and attractive convoy of brilliant engineering, we will also bring back the vintage engines display.

The chain saw competition is back along with some cross cut saw work, the various shearing competitions are the high point of the show for many, with yabby racing at the lunch break. We also present the second year of the Tug o' War and a challenge needs to be thrown out to the last years champions, The Royal Mail Hotel, how about the Rugby Union and the Rugby League teams, The Firies, Bushfiries, School, Braidwood hotel and others?

We also present Big Boys Toys, the tractors and agricultural machinery and other exhibitors in the Industrial section. It wouldn't be the Braidwood Show without the Show Bar and the large number of food and soft drink outlets. The Braidwood Show is the iconic Braidwood event with something for everyone, why not support by becoming a member of the Show Society for $25 which in addition gives two tickets to the show. Please sign up with Hon Sec Di Izzard, Box 119 Braidwood 2622.

Are you ready for the Braidwood show? It's on March 18, Chisel it into the diary now!
