Landmark Beef Expo at Koolewong

12 Mar, 2008 04:00 AM
Landmark Daniel Walker and Koolewong Angus held a highly successful day with over 70 landholders attending last Wednesday.

The expo was informative with sessions on animal health taking in strategies for worm, pink eye and trace element requirements.

Landmark launched a new animal health program called MaxiStart which was of great interest to the graziers. Tim McCrae from the MLA was the guest speaker talking on world beef markets and domestic issues for producers.

Two nutritionists travelled from Queensland to participate, giving the latest feed advice, and four company vets were there to answer questions.

Ron Hannan from Koolewong Angus had his stock on display which helped with demonstrations of the latest NLIS wands and panel readers. There was also a display of cattle handling equipment, showcasing RPM's new crush design.

The information sessions were followed by a barbecue lunch. Overall, a great day was had and Landmark is now planning next year's event.
