Braidwood Central School's major musical production of The Wind in the Willows, was held over last Friday and Saturday night and a matinee performance on Wednesday, with standing room only.

The musical was written by Mike Carter based on the novel by Kenneth Grahame

The lead roles of Toad (Caitlin Maher), Mole (Maddie Anderson), Rat (Gabe Dickinson) and Badger (Aaron Brownlie) were performed admirable with rousing songs. Backed up by a large cast of Fieldmice and Weasels, a horse, a motorist couple and the Gaoler's daughter (Charlotte McClure).

The over two hour performance had one short interval.

A huge amount of work had gone into the rehearsals, costumes and make-up.

The several scene changes, the sets were constructed by Steve Redden, Andy Townsend and Suzie Bleach. Stage management was by Trish Sargeson, lights and sound by Andrew Callan and Bill Waterhouse.

Congratulations to the director Angela Casey and producer/musical director Norman Meader, and all those who volunteered their time to pull off this great production.
