Robert Aernout of the Lamp Shop has just had printed an English translation about of the Dutch book about his father. 'The Murder of Ensign Aernout' by Henk Hovinga records the story of Robert's father, who was murdered by military personnel while serving in the Royal Dutch Indies Army in Netherlands East Indies in 1948. The story chronicles corruption and intrigue during the chaotic post war years when colonial ties were being cut. The book is available from Altenburg Gallery.
