Making music in the mist

20 Nov, 2008 01:54 PM
Over the three days of the 16th annual Music at the Creek festival the weather blew in four seasons, but that failed to dampen the spirits of the hundreds of visitors, many of whom camped out.

The weekend showcased an array of performers across music genres, as well as poetry and dance performances. There were drumming lessons and singing workshops, and juggling.

The children were also kept engrossed in storytelling, music making, painting and craft, and instrument making.

A variety of food from home made ice cream to kranskys and spicy curry kept the music lovers going.

The mist stayed low over Majors Creek for the music festival, but didn’t deter members of the Black Joak Morris, Molonglo Mahem and Brindabella North-west Morris dance groups.
