Meeting the Candidates

12 Sep, 2008 04:07 PM
Nearly all the 35 candidate attended excepting the Burra group.

Candidates were asked to address some Braidwood specific issues including; What levels of heritage protection would you advocate for Braidwood?; What is your position on the Council ownership of the Braidwood Saleyards?; Do you think Council meetings should be recorded/web cast?; Do you think the minimum lot size should be increased from 40ha to 80ha (with averaging) across the Shire, as suggested in the recent discussion papers for the LEP?

The questions were answered in varying degrees in the allotted time of 5 minutes per candidate and 12 minutes per group. Around 100 people attended the evening.
