The much loved Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Nero, who lives with Gilles and Olivia Bernadoff has been found after going missing nearly three months ago.
Nero has been part of the landscape of Wallace Street for many years, lazing in the sun outside Bernadoff's Antiques.
Nero went missing early in the morning of 4th August. Last week the Bernadoff's received a call from a couple in Queanbeyan who thought they had Nero. They had found him hanging around the Queanbeyan Showgrounds and taken him home where he was well cared for and had company from other family pets. The parents of the couple had been passing through Braidwood and seen the beautifully painted posters of Nero in the shop windows and thought that it could be him. Giles drove to Queanbeyan to be reunited with Nero last week.
Happy to be home and with tons of attention, Nero told the Times his story has been sold to Doggies Day magazine for an undisclosed sum.
