NSW Variety Club Bash 2001

26 Jun, 2001 01:13 PM
Variety, one of the world’s greatest children’s charities is dedicated to helping sick, disabled and disadvantage children.

Many of these children suffer severe disabilities or are disadvantaged by location and social circumstance.

This year the bash runs from Beverly Hills in Sydney to Broadbeach on the Goldcoast between August 11-18. Sally Kelly (Byrnes) a Braidwood local is entering and raising funds in the area. She has already approached or sent letters to many local businesses for donations/sponsorship for this years rally.

Joan and Reg Webb are also entrants and will be looking to raising funds in the Bungendore and Bateman’s Bay area.

A raffle has been organised and tickets will be available over the next month through the Administration Office at the Braidwood Hospital, a street stall being held on July 13, the local markets on July 21 and various local businesses. Each year Variety receives many appeals from individuals, association, institutions, hospitals and schools. In the last financial year the Variety Club of NSW granted appeals totalling $1400000.

The emphasis is on supporting the communities in which the money is raised. Your contributions will make a significant difference to the lifestyle and the quality of care to many thousands of children.
