Last Friday night saw the National Theatre as the place to be for 150 rock'n'rollers some of whom came from Bungendore and Canberra. The show played to a very appreciative audience many of whom left their seats to dance their bobby socks off. Paul McCann, who plays the lead role in the show, said, "We had the great pleasure to say that so far as audiences went they were up there with some of the best we have played to in the last 19 years of our production. It was a night of nostalgia, humour and good times!"
"We were ably assisted in setting the theatre up by Sandra and Richard Hand together with Jill McLeod [who are] on the committee of the National Theatre - they made us very welcome and ensured that the night ran as smoothly as possible." Paul also thanked Tracy Lamont and the volunteers from the Braidwood Visitors Centre for acting as the booking office for the event.
"The members of the cast all enjoyed our time and the hospitality of the good people of Braidwood and we are hoping to revisit again sometime next year," he said. There will be lots of people who will be very pleased to hear that and will be looking forward to another fantastic night of 'good ole rock'n'roll'.
