The monthly Palerang Council meeting will be held in Braidwood tomorrow, and the agenda has plenty of issues that will affect both rural and village residents.

GROUNDSWELL PROGRAM

A report to Council set s out the provisions for the roll-out of Groundswell Green Waste Kerbside Collection to commence in Bungendore, Braidwood and Captains Flat in February 2010.

For the 'Groundswell City to Soil' green waste bin collections, Council will provide residents with 240 litre aerated 'City to Soil' green waste bins and 6 litre kitchen bench aerated plastic bins and 10 l bio-degradable corn starch liner bags for collection of the kitchen scraps including cooked meal leftovers for collection on a fortnightly basis, where it will be delivered to Landtasia Organic Farms for a 16-17 month long trial.

ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS ON NOTICE

Schedule 2 of the amended Code of Meeting Practice has provided for a new agenda item known as Answers to Questions Taken on Notice.

From time to time, Councillors and members of the public have requested responses from staff to questions taken on notice at Council meetings. While many of these are notified directly to the person raising the issue, Council has now included a new agenda item in its Code of Meeting Practice, which publicly provides all responses to matters taken on notice each month.

The Resolution Action Sheet is an ongoing document, updated progressively by staff.

A application for the modification of the original DA for the 'Braidwood Heights" subdivision.

DISCUSSION PAPER ON RURAL LOT SIZE AVERAGING

Councillors will debate the issue in preparation for the new LEP.

LATE ITEM ADDED - DAYS HILL MONOPOLE

Item 18.4: Consideration of a possible lease of Days Hill land to Telstra following the Land & Environment Court approval of the monopole.

The item is listed in Closed Committee in accordance with Clause 61.2.5 (information that is subject to legal obligations of confidence) of the Palerang Code of Meeting Practice 2009.
