Phoenix flick and food

24 Feb, 2010 03:53 PM
Phoenix Film Club had their first outdoor screening at the Old Cheese Factory at Reidsdale on Friday 19th February.

Over 80 people attended the screening of 'Julie & Julia' (starring Meryl Streep and Amy Adams) on a purpose built 'supersize' screen using the new projector and even newer sound system. There were plenty of compliments from people for the fantastic food put on by The Old Cheese Factory including exotic Moroccan Lamb sausages and home made cider. The weather was perfect when the audience sat down to watch the movie as the sun set over hills and the first satellite of the evening crossed the sky. The quality screening and the impeccable sound quality made for a wonderful movie experience.

Phoenix Film Club now boasts 90 members. For the Food and Flicks night, people came from as far as Gosford, Sydney, Canberra and Bungendore.
