The Braidwood Jockey Club held its annual general meeting recently at the Royal Hotel in Braidwood and elected to the executive were President John Hockey, Vice President Paul Rowan, Secretary Di Izzard and Treasurer Sue Tranter.
The club reported a very successful Calcutta was run for the Melbourne Cup with many thanks to all who supported it.
The winning horse was purchased by Jason Sweeney, congratulations Jason.
The next general meeting of the club will be held at the Royal Mail Hotel on Wednesday December 5 to plan the next local race meeting, the Braidwood Cup to be held on Saturday February 16, 2002.
