RMC Band Charity Concert for Bush Fire Appeal

26 Mar, 2009 02:02 PM
Coordinated by Palerang Council, the 35-member RMC Band put on a two-hour charity concert at the National Theatre, thrilling the audience with a wide range of musical genres from traditional marching to jazz, rock, showtime and much more. Who will ever forget their rendition of the heart-wrenching song "Bui Doi" from the musical Miss Saigon, or the Beatles classic "Hey Jude" with the Band's vocalist Dave Thompson.

A total of $1,355 was raised through ticket sales and donations. All proceeds will go to Red Cross to distribute to the victims of the terrible bush fire tragedy in February.

If anyone missed out on the Braidwood performance, the Band is playing at the "Q" in Queanbeyan next Sunday as part of their regional charity tour.
