Braidwood Junior Soccer had a street stall on Saturday raising over $500.
Well done everyone who helped towards making this a most successful stall including the Braidwood community who supported us on the day by buying tickets and produce.
Our next stall is on August 11.
Lucky winners of the loads of wood were Gavin Butler first, Brinkley family second and Lara Roberts third.
Sub Juniors
Green 3 v Red 1. It was very exciting when it was one all but when Ellyse scored her second goal Red were down one. Cameron then scored another for the Green making them the winners this week. Next week if there are enough children we will try to run two games again. The Red goal scorer was Beatrice. Best and fairest were Ellyse, Jonathon and Cameron for the Green and Sarah, Eliza and Ben for the Red.
Intermediates
Anac ondas 5 v Demons 0. Goal scorers were Richard Dowling 3, Tegan Bensley 1 and Matt Pearson 1. Best and fairest were Joshua Stubbs, Laura Rosso and Tim Weston for the Anacondas and Coen Bennett, Lara Roberts and Joel Bradley for the Demons.
Sharks 4 v Flyers 1. Goal scorers for the Sharks were Jarrod Koch 3 and Alex Lang 1 and Zac Elliott for the Flyers. Best and fairest went to Sharks Jarrod, Lyree Newell and Matthew Clarke and Flyers Zac Elliott, James Fry and Owen. The score didn’t reflect the closeness of the game.
Magpies 2 v Warriors 0. A good tight game, nil all at half time. The Warriors were able to prevent the Magpies play their usual open style of play. Goal scorer was Luke Staunton. Best and fairest was awarded to Jacob Camilleri, Thomas Royds and Hayley Sargent for the Magpies and Martin Stalley, Jonathon Crisp and Anne Crisp for the Warriors.
Hornets 2 v Hurricanes 1. Some close calls from the Hornets in the first half put the Hurricanes on the defensive very early. The Hurricanes then settled the game for 15 minutes of very even play before Daniel Ison gave the Hurricanes 1-0 at half time. The Hornets then took the second half on with even more determination and were there to have two goals from a couple of mistakes. A very exciting match to watch. Goal scorer for the Hornets was Jake Holland. Best and fairest for the Hornets was Tom Holland, Michael Bourke and Jaye Coble and for the Hurricanes Daniel Ison, Matt Hannaford and Pat Harrington.
Seniors
Jac k Russells 7 v Coyotes 0. Jack Russells opened with a flurry to lead 4-0 in the first half. A more even second half although the Jack Russells passing and domination of the midfield told in the end. Well played Jack Bourkes team. Goal scorers were Jay Heaney 4, Johnny Butler 2 and Lucas Allan 1.
