The Good News and The Bad

03 Mar, 2006 12:15 PM
Only seventeen sleeps until the Braidwood Show! The good news is that Pitstop is back. That very special free opportunity for men to conduct secret men's business, ie a personal private free check up of your moving parts. Pitstop is an expensive operation to mount and men, we need your involvement to show the authorities that it is worth bringing to Braidwood. It may just save your life, its guaranteed to improve it.

For the florally challenged we are having flower arranging demonstrations in the pavilion. And Eric Lightfoot has kindly offered to run a shuttle bus service to the Show on the hour leaving from the Post Office.

The bad news is that due to the condition of some of the cattle yards, we will have to restrict cattle numbers, it has been necessary to cancel the fat and commercial cattle classes for this year. However Stud and led cattle will be a feature of the Show. Braidwood Central School will have to two led entries which are going on to Sydney and the first prize in the Hospital raffle, Dr Cairns square meater will be there. You can buy tickets to release the beast or receive as an edible package.

Karuna is trying to arrange a band to play from 2pm which brings us back to the Good News. Braidwood's incredible hulks will appear ringside for the Tug O'War at 2.30 and so far, we introduce Paul's Royal Mailers, The Redbacks, Mick's Butchers boys and the Mail runners. Any other entries please ring me asap and I will send out a copy of our rules, local rules and no debate will be entered into! Martin Pitt 48 428073
