The year of the kelpie

12 Mar, 2008 03:00 AM
For the last six years St Bede's School have been producing a farm animal teal towel as a fundraiser. An idea initiated by the late Pip Creasey, the tea towels have proved s popular Braidwood souvenir and gift. Each year parents bring some animals into the school for the children to draw from life. Last year Lyn and Terry Hart brought a couple of their kelpies to school to model for the design. The tea towels are on sale for $12 and a packet of ten greeting cards is also available for $5, and will be available at the Show, from Mutton's and from the School.
