INDEPENDENT

If elected

Having very good loving and caring Executives feeding looking after all the children and feeding looking after all living things in the Monaro region. Having a public officer as trustee to look after the people personal finance for free.

Training a good work force locally, exporting a good workforce interstate and overseas.

I also would like to be able to fly people and bus people to job sites interstate example mining sites and farm work and many other industry sites.

I also would like the Monaro region to establish Restaurant Fifteen to help train disadvantage children to become chefs and be able to travel all over the world.

I also would like the Monaro region to establish a football (Soccer) a junior base breeding ground to produce some of the finest football players in the world and be affiliated example joint venture or partnership with English Premier League Football Clubs in England. To establish Federal or NSW State Government legislation in Australia so investors can invest in the future generation of football players in the Monaro region.

I would also like the Monaro region to have the finest Welfare Benefits for all the children and god creatures. Interest free home loans and car loans, food subsidisation for people and god's creatures, and abolishing rates and offering many other subsidies to the people also upgrading infrastructure water and sewage mains.

The Nationals

After 12 years of Labor, we are at a cross roads in Monaro. If Labor is re-elected we will have 16 years of Ministers such as Joe Tripodi, Frank Sartor and Michael Costa making the decisions that affect you. They have had long enough to solve the water crisis, reduce the long hospital waiting lists and build vital infrastructure for our community.

I know how important it is to stand up for the things that matter. I am 100% committed to putting Braidwood and the Monaro Electorate first. I want to deliver results for the residents of Braidwood and to do this I need your support to put into action my plans for the community.

I will provide better local water and sewage services in Palerang Shire. We will upgrade Braidwood's water sewage treatment plant to pave the way for large scale recycling. We will also upgrade safety measures on the Kings and Monaro highways. We will re-establish local hospital boards so they are run by local people. I believe it is important to address climate change by providing incentives for residents to install solar hot water systems and rainwater tanks at home and to all country people, not just those on town water and make the change to ethanol blended-fuels.

Steve Whan and his role in forcing the amalgamation of Palerang Council, has made the council unsustainable, sent it into a financial crisis and driven your rates up in Braidwood. We will draw a line under this botched amalgamation, supporting the council with infrastructure development so community facilities such as the swimming pool can remain open.

Labor's had long enough to fix your local issues - don't reward them with four more years to achieve nothing.

GREENS

The Greens are visionary, energetic, and compassionate. Our wide-ranging and forward-thinking policies can be found at http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/poli cies/ Please consider voting for us first if you agree with any or all of the following:

* decision-making based on principles not self-interest

* social & economic justice; ecological sustainability; grassroots democracy; peace, nonviolence & disarmament at the foundation of all decision-making

* a ban on corporate donations to political parties

* doing politics differently - co-operation not conflict, focusing on issues not personalities, openness and accountability, long-term planning, not short-term expediency;

* growth and development if it can be sustained by local conditions, especially water availability

* ensuring local government is adequately funded; no further amalgamations; greater regional co-operation and sharing of resources

* immediate action on climate change - renewables not nuclear, a carbon tax of $25 per tonne of carbon dioxide by 2011, to put a price on greenhouse gas pollution and raise $1.2 billion a year to put into renewable energy and energy efficiency

* ensuring that NSW workers remain in the State industrial system, not forced to be covered by federal Workplace legislation

* addressing health and justice issues through preventative, not band-aid solutions, and recognising drug addiction as a health and community issue

* adequately funded public health, education and transport facilities in rural and regional areas, including a mobile medical and dental unit

* no genetically manipulated foods until they have been proven to be safe for human health and the environment

* a sustainable timber industry, with no more woodchipping of our native forests

* support for diversity in the community including equal rights for same-sex marriages and superannuation entitlements

* more women in Parliament

Double your vote: vote 1 Green and then the order of your choice. If I'm not elected, then your vote has a double life. The next remaining candidate of your choice will receive your preference.

LABOR

I have enjoyed the privilege of working with the Braidwood community over the last four years, and I have delivered results - helping Braidwood achieve its potential after being neglected by the National Party for so long.

We have achieved a great deal already for Braidwood but there is much more to do, and with the community's support this Saturday, we can ensure that the town keeps a Local Member who stands up for locals and delivers the services and facilities the community deserves.

In just my first term Braidwood has seen major changes at the school, including reduced class sizes, new school bus shelters, more sports facilities including cricket nets, $650,000 for the new gymnasium, and new facilities for students living with a disability.

Local emergency services staff and volunteers are better equipped with vehicles, and new $300,000 fire tanker and $30,000 toward extensions to the Braidwood SES headquarters. A re-elected Labor Government will build upon the strongest and most professional volunteer emergency service in the world, investing an additional $400 million into the RFS and SES for more tankers, equipment and we will see some big upgrades to local RFS stations.

The Kings Highway has seen more than $20 million spent in recent years on safety improvements and overtaking lanes. Work is about to start on $400,000 realignment at Black Gully (east of Braidwood). I've now convinced the roads Minister to start work on a long term plan to do a major route upgrade on the Kings Highway, we will seek to do that in conjunction with the Commonwealth Government.

There have been major upgrades to tourist facilities at Monga National Park, a new library and Community Technology Centre for the town, improved the reliability of the town's power supply, and more amenities and facilities at local halls and showgrounds.

I will help Braidwood build on its unique status as a heritage listed town and ensure that we get the full economic benefit of our heritage while ensuring that it is there for future generations to appreciate.

Braidwood can't afford a Nationals candidate who will support cutting 20,000 public sector jobs and who thinks blaming other people for problems is better than working to deliver solutions.

There is a great deal more to do, but I believe Braidwood is moving in the right direction. With your support on Saturday, I will continue working with the community to deliver even more.
