Wild River in Switzerland for International Award

16 Jun, 2009 03:43 PM
“The Impact Award seeks entries of ongoing or completed initiatives that show excellent achievements from the viewpoint of engaging the various stakeholders of campus sustainability. Winning initiatives will demonstrate how campus development and management can be used to create impact for research, teaching and campus community involvement. The award will be given to initiatives that lead to substantial improvements against the three dimensions of sustainability criteria – Society, Economy, and Environment – through the joint effort of several stakeholders, such as university administration, faculty, students and/or communities from neighbourhoods or business. The award is given to an organizational entity, to be represented by one of its leaders.”

The Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland was the winner in the Construction category.

Su Wild River, who works part time at the ANU, has been active member of the Friends of the Mongarlowe River and is on the Transition Town Braidwood Steering Committee.
