The three students who were selected to go into the final judging are Jethro Chinnery from year 11, who entered a 'Big Ant', Cody Moran from year 10. entering a lifesize figure called 'Doris' and Dylan Radburn from year 10 with an impressive "Spanish Galleon."
The students will receive a free ticket to the Sydney Convention Centre exhibition and Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony on May 30th.
There will be an opportunity to meet other high achievers and to meet the Minister for Vocational Training.
The finalists are in the running to win $1000 for their school and the same for themselves in both junior and senior sections as well as state wide acknowledgment. The works will also be auctioned.
Cody Moran, pictured, is off to the "Art of Sheetmetal" exhibition at Austech, Sydney Exhibition & Convention Centre, Darling Harbour, from 27th to 30th May with "Doris". The pleated skirt was made by driving over old pieces of corrugated iron, and Cody incorporated dressmaking skills learned at home into her design.
