While it was a disappointing result for the Bears themselves and the big mob of Bears supporters a few of the Bears injured brigade returned to the paddock and got valuable game time under their belts. Phil Jonas, Rob Gara and Damien Bigg had solid games after extended period on the sideline. Jimmy Evans was back to his wily best after shaking off a niggling rib injury. Jimmy picked up 2nd place in the Raynolds Livestock Transport Players player Award. Adam Hacker, for the second week in a row, got the Players Player Award for his outstanding game at hooker. Adam tackled every thing that moved in a Tigers jumper and never gave up in attack. Rowdy Augustin picked up the Coaches Award for his effort at Fullback.
Big Steve Carke , Marty Edwards and Mark Piper all carried niggling injuries in to the game but this didn’t prevent them from giving 100%. The Bears now have a fortnights spell till their next hitout against Goulburn Exchange. The Bears would like to thank Game Day Sponsors Walter, Libby and Bill from Raynolds Livestock Transport. Proths " Pick-a-Bear" didn’t go off and now stands at $780. Gordon Stephens drew the 6th Bear out on Friday night. Well done to The Redbacks notching up their 3rd win and keeping Braidwood’s flag flying.
