The World Record’ story made the media in dozens of countries when Brittney won the $5000 cash prize and a pair of gold Terry Biviano shoes, sprinting out against 265 women - the most runners in a high heels sprint.
The race also included a few men in the 80m dash at Sydney's Circular Quay which raised money for breast cancer research. The previous world record of 150 was made in Holland.
