Chooks fly away with Palerang Shield

East V West grudge match: The Bungendore Mudchooks won back the Palerang Shield, the pre-season Braidwood Bungendore game, at the Braidwood Rec Ground on Saturday. The game was relocated from Bungendore oval at the last minute after the cricket pitch had been removed and new turf laid, but not yet settled. Council had decided on Thursday night that it was dangerous to cricketers to have a dual use pitch, below the turf surface, and to move cricket to the Warren Little Oval. A junior rugby league game was also relocated to Braidwood on Sunday.
