Clubs support Pink Ribbon Day

MENS BOWLS

The final of the Men's Triple Championships have been completed with the winners being John Bunn, Andrew Moran and Robert Jackson.

They have also finished Men's Fours Championships, with Ant Stanley, Steve Pipe, Rodney Grant and Smiley Gerrard being the winners.

The Mixed Pairs Championships are now up on the board with the draw taking place on 8th November to start play on the 22nd November.

The Christmas party for bowls will be held on Saturday 19th December.

WOMEN'S BOWLS

The finals of the Ladies Minor Singles Championships was won by Bev Feehan. The winner of the Major Singles Championship was Margaret Wisbey. The Ladies Pair Championships are to start play on 28th October.

There has been a lot of away bowls being played over the past couple of months with games being played at Dalmeny, Queanbeyan, Tomakin, Malua Bay and Moruya.

The mixed four team, being Betty and Barry Jonas and Elaine and Barry Jackson played at Tomakin Carnival on Saturday 17th October and were the runner ups on the day. Congratulations.

The ladies Christmas party is on 16th December at the Boiled Lolly at 11.30am. Braidwood ladies are hosting the Ladies Open Fours on 18th November starting at 9am.

Don't forget the bus tour "Cherry Day" at Young on Saturday 31st November. The bus leaves at 7.30am.

Social bowls days are Thursday and Sundays starting at 1pm with points awarded to all winners on social days. This competition finishes on Sunday 29th November.

Prize winners decided at the end of November. Prizes donated by Araluen Valley Hotel, Queanbeyan Riverside Tourist Park, Braidwood Rural and Building Supplies, and Landmark Daniel Walker.

A big thank you to all the above again for their support and donations to our social bowling competition.
