The championships showcase players vying for a position in the national side, with rep. teams from New South Wales, Queensland, ACT and combined states. His selection is even more notable in that although the ACT had some close encounters the boys did not fare well in the championships and selectors tend to pick from winning teams so Jake must have impressed the selectors, as he is the only representative from the ACT and it's only his second appearance in state titles since the Under 13s due to a long line of injuries. The Brumbies report that he has a great attack and brilliant defence.
We wish him success when the Australian team takes on Tonga in Sydney on 26 September.
Congratulations also to his brother Thomas, who captained the Under 15 rugby side in Sydney on the same weekend, and to Lewis who will commence training for the Under 16 Representative side after fracturing his leg early in the season.
