As always it promises to be a great day out for all age groups with are play area for the kids, kiosk and bar for the appetites, betting facilities for those chasing a win and fashions on the field for those dressing to impress.

Of course then there's the atmosphere, people having a good time, the anticipation of whether your horse will win after the thunder of hooves passes you at the rail. Or, the disappointment as you realise you've been having such a great chat to someone at the back of the grandstand that you forgot to put a bet on at all, let alone watch the race- all part of the fun!

We will be running a colouring and drawing competition for the kids of the community, to be displayed on the day. Entry forms will be dropped to the schools at the beginning of term.

So save the date, invite your friends along and ladies, start breaking those shoes in!
