Junior Redbacks Rugby Report

U8's

Redbacks 35 defeated Goulburn Brumbies 0.

The boys continued to play some good rugby on Friday night, with some quick passing and determined clean-outs a highlight of the game. The team is starting to realise that every try scored is a team try and it takes a team effort. Super defence by Ned and Harry helped the team, and solid efforts by Forbes G and Will C were highlights. Tries to Harry J 2, Isaac Q 2, Callaum D, Agus P-J and Matthew G. Lolly Shop Awards this week go to Forbes and Harry.

The Redback Under 8s will play a curtain raiser from 2:15pm this Saturday against the Bateman's Bay U 8s. Come and watch the Wallabies of the future at the Rec this Saturday!

U10's

The under 10's played the Reds, with them being one of the only two teams to roll us this year, we were set for a big performance. The Reds scored first, however we hit back nearly straight away with Sam Daniher bagging 2 tries. Nick Asimus and Jeremy Ramm kept the Reds playmaker contained with some bootlace tackles. Hard running by Will Shoemark and Fynn Walker set the platform for Josh Story and Tom Cairns to cross for tries. Callum Conroy worked continually around the ruck and was unlucky with 2 conversions. Final score 52/42 to the Redbacks. Tries- Sam 5,Will, Josh, Tom. Conversions- Jeremy, Will, Josh, Sam, Nick. Lolly Shop awards- Will and Callum.

U12's

The last game of the competition saw the Redbacks take on the minor premiers the Brumbies. A tough 10 all draw was the end result leaving Braidwood in 2nd position coming into the semis. Both forwards and backs played well with some brilliant defence keeping the score even and Forbes Corby and Angus Sherriff crossing the line for Braidwood. The awards this week went to Ben Howard and Matt Royds.
