Under 6's
The Braidwood connection of the Pups Rugby side again proved to be the difference, in a hard fought struggle the pups were victorious 5 trys to 4. Darcy and Johno were devastating in both attack and defence. Both putting on some moves that had their fathers dreaming of the 'glory days'. The Pups are well placed with only three weeks to go. Keep up the great work boys!
Under 8's
Redbacks 40 defeated Crookwell Pups 0. While the score may be deceiving, our boys knew they were in a very physical battle with the Pups from Crookwell. The game was highlighted by some wonderful defence by Will ?if it moves I?ll tackle it? Chapman and Forbes ?fighting above his weight? Gordon. Harry Jeffery was fantastic over the ball in the tight stuff which complimented the very fast ?wheels? of Isaac Quattromini who runs as hard as any 8 year old I have seen. With such great team work, the tries eventually came to Agus Putra-Jaya who continues to improve every week, Callaum Dolye 2 hard running tries, Ned Jeffery 2 long range tries and Matt Galvin 3 tries as reward for a good effort all round. Lolly Shop Awards this week go to Isaac and Callaum although everyone deserves an award for the team work, good sportsmanship and for keeping a cool head, often when the opposition did not. Thanks to Super Subs Simon Jeffery who trained the boys with Craig Coe this week and ran behind the boys at the game. Thanks to Redbacks fans from our teams and other age groups who support the young ones each week. A great club culture is being established.
Under 10's
The under 10?s played the Crookwell Pups in a try scoring frenzy. The tries started from the kickoff, with Will Shoemark, Sam Daniher and Jeremy Ramm gaining confidence with every game. Callum Conroy, Tom Cairns and Fynn Walker were lethal around the ruck. Edward Horan, Nick Asimus and Josh Story defended with passion. The final score was one for all the Braidwood sporting teams that have been hammered by Crookwell over the years! 116 to 7. Try scorers and converters too numerous to mention, lets just say a lot. Lollyshop awards Sam Daniher and Fynn Walker. Well done boys!
Under 12's
The Under 12's had a challenging game against the Crookwell Pups but ended up winning 15 to 0. Unfortunately our coach has not been able to write his report this week but the try scorers were Forbes 'got the taste for that' Corby and Angus Sherriff. The Boiled Lolly Awards went to Lauchie Ramm and Angus Sherriff...well done lads.
Only 2 more matches until the semi's so lets go hard because we have a great chance of making that final. Thanks to all the parents and supporters who come along to watch and cheer...as Jed said, we have a fantastic club.
