The STEPUP2FITNESS 'BODYFIT' programme is very different to the standard fitness company stereotype. The focus is on fitness, and the emphasis is on having fun in a friendly atmosphere. It is certainly not unusual to share a lot of laughs during the sessions and head out for coffee afterwards.
'Embrace life - Life is good' is a core philosophy that sets STEPUP2FITNESS apart from the traditional styles of workout. Tim and his team are all about connecting Body and Mind. They provide excellence in fitness training, in an environment which works on a philosophy of motivation and fun with friends, which is a really fresh approach.
The overall program and each of the sessions are developed with individual goals in mind. They are designed to cater for the complete range of ages, abilities and fitness levels. This means everyone can participate and work to their potential. You will work within your own limits so you are comfortable, without fear of impacting on anyone else. Alternative exercises are always available to cater for any injuries or restrictions that you may have at a given time. This will allow you to still participate to your capability.
There are many reasons people are participating, including: new mums hoping to regain fitness, weight loss, upcoming weddings, sports, general fitness, health and well being. Each season commences with an initial assessment of fitness and the mid season reassessment has already produced great results for everyone. Everyone is on track and achieving results.
Mother of two Kate says "the early morning rises worried me at first but now I just wake up and can't wait to get out there. It also makes it easier for me to exercise with the group as its fun, challenging, self paced and we can all feel the difference it is making. Tim does a great job of giving us a total body workout every session with different activities each time and the results have proven that."
Jake and Lucy say that they really enjoy being a part of Braidwood bootcamp and boxercise. "Tim's approach is very professional and he is able to combine various fitness levels into a program suitable for all. Monitoring the results and seeing the improvements in our fitness levels is motivating. Being new to town, it's also been a good opportunity to meet people in the area."
BODYFIT (group fitness) is run on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings from 6am 'til 7am and BODYACTIVE (boxercise) on Saturdays at 6:30am 'til 7:30am.
Season two commences on the 22nd of April and from the 2nd April will move indoors to the Braidwood Central School Multi Purpose Hall and Gymnasium.
