The Braidwood Redbacks will chance their arm at a different sport come the new year, albeit, only for a day.
With summer in full swing, there is no better way to celebrate the time with a game of cricket.
So we, the Redbacks that is, invite all those who are involved with the club or want to be involved with the club to come and help us bring in the new year with style on the 9th of January at the Majors Creek Recreation ground.
As well as swinging the willow, we will also start talks about what is to come for the new season. The main topic will be our AGM which will decide what direction the Redbacks will head. Other things to discuss will also be more events to bring the club members, new and old, together.
We are starting early this year because it won't be long until the 2010 season is upon us and we are playing our first game against the Bungendore Mudchooks, a match we haven't won since the year we took the South Coast Championship in 2007. A feat we intend to repeat for the coming season.
So, come along for what should be a great day out. We will have a BBQ for lunch and then after the game we will then head down to the pub to discuss who got the most runs, who got the most wickets and who should stick to Rugby.
Once again, the 9th of January at 10:00pm at the Majors Creek Rec ground.
