Sub-Juniors: A great roll up for the Subbies saw the Frogs take on the Polar Bears in what was a terrific game. The kids are starting to get the hang of this simple game and putting it together well with plenty of goals. Best for the Polar Bears was Ryan Castle who scored a hat-trick of goals while Morgan Staunton was the Frogs best. Final score Polar Bears 4 Frogs 1
Juniors
YUGIOH V POKEMON: Yugioh have struggled to score goals in previous weeks but the bigger field of Araluen suited their style of football and hat-tricks to Sam Daniher and Harry Shoemark saw Yugioh lead comfortably. Joel Croxon also scored his first goal ever for Yugioh and Isabella Culmone and Lucy Fanning did some great goalkeeping to keep the hapless Pokemon to nil. Best for Yugioh were Sam Daniher Isabella Culmone and Harry Shoemark. Best for Pokemon were Jarrah Hilhorst, Cara Laney and Kassie Liversidge. Final score Yugioh 7 Pokemon 0
DIGEMON V DRAGONBALL Z: Digemon's Josh Story had a cracking game scoring a hat-trick of goals with the extra space on the big Araluen field making a big difference between the 2 sides. Dragonball Z were in the game at times with Alex Rush and Tim Corcoran scoring goals but Digemon were running on adrenalin with Edward Horan scoring his first goal to seal the victory. Best for Digemon were Edward Horan, Josh Story, Adrian Holcman and Dylan Drury. Best for Dragonball Z were Charlie McLean, Jeremy Ramm and Alex Rush. Final score Digemon 4 Dragonball Z 2
Intermediates
EELS V MARLINS: This was a very entertaining battle with some great football played by both sides. Desperate defence by the Marlins kept them in the game and some solid marking by Will Atkinson on Dylan Crisp kept the goalscoring to a minimum. The Marlins opened the scoring first with a good goal to Will Atkinson and the Eels responded almost immediately with a great team goal to Dylan Crisp. The game then went form end to end with some nice team work but neither team could capitalise on their good lead up work. The Marlins hit the lead with about 10 minutes to go and were looking likely to take the 3 points but a late goal to the Eels kept the final result even. Best for the Eels were Scott Birkett Hannah Cooper and Dylan Crisp. Best for the Marlins were Patrick O'Connell Kristina Holcman and Will Atkinson. Final score Eels 2 Marlins 2
PIRANHAS V BARRACUDAS: This was an entertaining game with both sides giving it there all to get maximum points out of the game. The Piranhas defence has been solid all season and held firm for most of the game with few shots causing any problems for their keeper. The Barracudas tried hard to get a goal but the Piranhas were the first to score with a nice goal to Patrick Willding. The Barracudas were unlucky not to equalise but Patrick Willding scored again to put the game out of reach for the Barracudas and the Piranhas took the 3 points. Best for the Barracudas were Rowan Brown Melissa Mundy and Matt Barr. Best for the Piranhas were Forbes Corby and Matilda Corby and Ty Palmer. Final score Piranhas 2 Barracudas 0
SHARKS V STINGRAY: The Stingrays were down a few players and Harry Fry, Lochie Ramm and Harry and Will Shoemark helped them out for the game and played exceptionally well. The Sharks played well as a team and put some very good pressure on the defence of the Stingrays and the constant pressure saw the Stingrays defence crack when Will Northcott scored. The Sharks kept the pressure up and scored again through Josh Fletcher. The second half saw the Stingrays have some good chances but their confidence was shattered from some solid defence from the Sharks and the Sharks managed to share the scoring in the second half between Sarah Hemler Josh Fletcher and Will Northcott. Best for the Sharks were Natasha Liversidge Will Northcott and Luke Verdon. Best for the Stingrays were Harry Fry Lochie Ramm and Elizabeth Etcell. Final score Sharks 5 Stingrays 0
Seniors
COMETS V FIREBALLS: This was a game of missed opportunities for the Fireballs who managed to be the first to score with an excellent goal to Patrick Martin. The Comets Harley Williams responded immediately and managed to score from a run from the kick off and after 5 minutes the score was 1-1. if the defence of both sides didn't improve then the game could have ended with a cricket score. However the game settled down and both teams created good chances to score again but some solid defence kept the score to 1-1 at half time. The second half started much the same as the first with Harley taking a shot from near half way and just sneaking into the net but the reply from the Fireballs didn't eventuate as the Comets defence frustrated the Fireballs attack. From there on the Comets grew in confidence with Harley Williams and Tamika Murphy managed to score again to complete what was a good win. The Fireballs created plenty of chances but couldn't finish them to get back into the game. Best for the comets were Ashleigh Fry Jodie Balderson and Thomas Willding. Best for the Fireballs were Pat Martin Brianna Pont and Amy Liversidge. Final score Comets 4 Fireballs 1
METEORS V ASTEROIDS: The Meteors were down 3 good players and the final score was the result of a lop sided affair. Josh Stubbs played well for the Asteroids scoring a hat-trick and as hard as the Meteors defence tried the teamwork from the Asteroids was far superior and they finished comfortable winners of the game. Best for the Asteroids were Josh Stubbs, Kaitlyn Harrison and Victoria Laurie. Best for the Meteors were Aaron Clarke, Steph McAllister and Tashi Wood-Ward. Final score Asteroids 6 Meteors 0
